This Pinot Noir is a small-lot wine drawn from selected barrels exclusively of Clone 667.
New Release! Named for the boughs of our Heritage Bay tree on the Madrone Estate, which is upwards of 450 years old, The Bough can be thought of as our ‘Winemaker’s blend’. This wine represents our effort to produce a seamless red blend from disparate and unique varietals.
Our inaugural bottling: this wine begins with aromas of dark cherry with a touch of blueberry, accented by a hint of violet. We aged this wine in 15% new oak for 15 months which developed the inviting aromas of light, sweet vanilla, which pairs perfectly with the strawberry entry. A lovely ripe cherry finish accented with lingering orange blossom completes the first sip.

This "well-made" Cabernet Sauvignon (according to Robert Parker) opens with aromas of ripe blackberry, sweet tobacco, anise and cocoa. A soft, yet rich entry is sprinkled with notes of blackberry, tea and cedar ending with a pleasantly lingering finish.
Our reserve Chardonnay boasts lifted and creamy aromas, with lemon and subtle oak nuances. Soft and round on the palate, with hints of pear and white peach. Mouth-filling and balanced acidity is followed by a flavorful, lingering finish.
